Cast steel gate valves consist of a valve body, bonnet, gate, valve stem, valve seat, handwheel and assembly bolts. these components work together to control the flow of fluid in the pipeline.

The valve body serves as the main housing of the valve and provides a passage for fluid flow. The material is WCB cast steel or stainless steel 304,316. The cast steel surface will be painted to prevent rust. In order to facilitate user identification, the valve body needs to be cast or a nameplate is added to display the valve information, such as size, pressure, material and trademark.

The bonnet is attached to the valve body and houses the valve stem and handwheel, and is usually made of the same material as the valve body. Depending on the valve construction, there may or may not be a gland.

The gate is a wedge-shaped component that moves up and down to open and close the valve, with a metal sealing ring embedded on it.

The valve stem connects the gate to the handwheel for on/off control of the valve.

The valve seat is the sealing surface that prevents leakage when the valve is closed. It is divided into different internal parts according to different use environments.

The handwheel is usually made of cast steel or stainless steel and painted with red or blue paint. In order to facilitate switching, turbine heads, electric or pneumatic actuators, etc. can be added to large-sized valves above 8 inches.

The assembly bolts and nuts are made of stainless steel 304 or 316, and the filler is provided according to the customer's requirements.
