How the cast iron gate valve produced? The steps of cast iron gate valve production are as follows.
1. Prepare molds, production drawings and raw materials: select the suitable casting materials for dosing, to ensure that the cast iron material meets the requirements. Inspect the mold to ensure that the dimensions meet the relevant standards.
2. Casting: the preheated mold placed in the casting equipment, high temperature molten cast iron into the mold for molding. The casting process needs to control the proper temperature, melting time and pressure.
3. Heat treatment: after casting the gate valve needs heat treatment to improve its strength and durability. Common heat treatment methods include normalizing, quenching, tempering and so on.
4. Machining: casting blanks for mechanical processing, including cutting, milling, drilling and other processes, so that the valve to reach the size and shape of the design requirements.
5. Surface treatment: sandblasting and cleaning of the valve surface, rust removal and rust treatment, and finally paint or spray electrostatic surface treatment, to improve its corrosion resistance and aesthetics.
